The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Zac Dalpe to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Dalpe, 29, has recorded 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points with 36 penalty minutes in 141 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes. He collected his first career point as a Blue Jacket with an assist in his season debut on November 15 vs. the Florida Panthers.
The Paris, Ontario native has added 13-12-25, 27 penalty minutes and a +6 plus/minus rating in 24 games for the Monsters this season, ranking fifth-T in the AHL in goals and 12th-T in points. He has posted 121-120-241, 160 penalty minutes and a +7 plus/minus rating in 329 career AHL appearances with the Monsters, Iowa Wild, Rochester Americans, Utica Comets, Charlotte Checkers and Albany River Rats. Originally Carolina's second round pick, 45th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft, the former Ohio State University standout was claimed off waivers by Columbus from Minnesota on February 27, 2017.
