COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed center Brandon Dubinsky on injured reserve, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Dubinsky will be sidelined six to eight weeks after suffering an orbital bone fracture in Tuesday's game vs. Edmonton.
"Brandon suffered an orbital bone fracture that will keep him out of the lineup for six to eight weeks," said Kekalainen. "At this time, the damage has not affected the function of his eye and long-term vision. He will continue to be monitored closely by our medical team."

Dubinsky, 31, has tallied three goals and nine assists for 12 points with 19 penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating in 31 games this season. The Anchorage, Alaska native has registered 144-276-420 and 855 penalty minutes in 731 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, including 63-144-207 and 398 penalty minutes in 338 games with Columbus.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Thursday when they host the New York Islanders. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
