The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Adam Boqvist and forward Patrik Laine off the Injured Reserve, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Boqvist, 21, has missed the last three contests with an upper body injury suffered on December 9 vs. Anaheim. He has posted six goals and three assists for nine points with two penalty minutes in 18 games in his first season with the Blue Jackets in 2021-22.
The Falun, Sweden native was acquired by the Blue Jackets in a trade from the Chicago Blackhawks on July 23, 2021. Originally drafted by Chicago in the first round, eighth overall, at the 2018 NHL Draft, the 6-0, 189-pound defenseman has registered 12-26-38 and 22 penalty minutes in 94 career contests with the Blue Jackets and Blackhawks since making his NHL debut in 2019-20.
Laine, 23, has missed the past 19 games with an oblique strain suffered on November 3 at Colorado. He has recorded 3-7-10 with six penalty minutes, three multi-point efforts, two overtime winners and a +2 plus/minus rating, while averaging 17:43 of ice time in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season.
A native of Tampere, Finland, Laine has registered 153-128-281 and 145 penalty minutes in 360 career games with the Blue Jackets and Winnipeg Jets since making his NHL debut in 2016-17. He has totaled 13-18-31, 27 penalty minutes and four power play goals in 54 contests with Columbus since being acquired in a trade on Jan. 23, 2021. The 6-5, 216-pound forward was originally selected second overall by the Jets at the 2016 NHL Draft.
