The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forwards Yegor Chinakhov and Carson Meyer off Injured Reserve and loaned both players to the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Chinakhov, 22, has missed the past 29 games due to an ankle injury suffered vs. the Dallas Stars on December 19. He has registered four goals and nine assists for 13 points with 10 penalty minutes and 44 shots in 30 games this season. A native of Omsk, Russia, he has collected 11-16-27 with 26 penalty minutes and 142 shots on goal in 92 career games with Columbus since making his NHL debut in 2021-22. The 6-1, 204-pound winger was selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round, 21st overall, at the 2020 NHL Draft.
Meyer, 25, suffered an oblique strain on January 10 at Tampa Bay and has been sidelined for the past 20 contests. He has recorded 1-2-3 with 10 penalty minutes and 29 shots on goal in 26 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, including four penalty minutes, 16 shots and 22 hits in 13 outings this season. The Powell, Ohio native has added 31-34-65 with 98 PIM, 10 power play goals and 246 shots in 98 career AHL contests with the Monsters since 2020-21. He has collected 6-12-18, 22 PIM, three PPG and was +10 in 15 appearances with Cleveland this season. The 5-11, 184-pound winger was selected by the Blue Jackets in the sixth round, 179th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they visit the Buffalo Sabres. Game time from KeyBank Center is 7:30 p.m. ET.
