The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and center Cole Sillinger off the National Hockey League's COVID-19 protocol list, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The club also has assigned defenseman Jake Christiansen to the taxi squad.

Gavrikov, 26, has registered two goals and 15 assists for 17 points with 22 penalty minutes and a +4 plus/minus rating, while averaging 21:23 of ice time in 36 games for the Blue Jackets this season. He has set career highs in assists and penalty minutes, ranks second on the team in assists (tied), penalty minutes and plus/minus rating (tied). The Yaroslavl, Russia native has totaled 9-38-47 and 54 penalty minutes in 160 career regular season games with Columbus since making his NHL debut in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The 6-3, 213-pound blueliner was selected by the Blue Jackets in the sixth round, 159th overall, at the 2015 NHL Draft.
Sillinger, 18, has recorded 6-7-13 with 21 penalty minutes and 71 shots, while averaging 13:30 of ice time in 35 games this season. He became the fourth-youngest player to make his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets and had an assist in the season opener on October 14 vs. Arizona. He tallied his first career goal on October 21 vs. the NY Islanders. Born in Columbus, the 6-2, 203-pound pivot was named the Rookie of the Year and to the All-Rookie Team of the United States Hockey League in 2020-21 after totaling 24-22-46 in 31 games with Sioux Falls. He was drafted by Columbus with the club's second first round selection, 12th overall, at the 2021 NHL Draft.
