The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Jake Christiansen and forward Liam Foudy from the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, to the taxi squad, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The club has also assigned goaltender Cam Johnson from the taxi squad to the Monsters.

Christiansen, 22, was previously with the Blue Jackets from December 10-20 but did not appear in a game. Signed to a three-year, entry level contract with Columbus on Mar. 4, 2020, he has registered five goals and 13 assists for 18 points with 17 penalty minutes, 62 shots and a +4 plus/minus rating in 21 appearances with Cleveland this season. He ranks third among AHL blueliners in points (tied) and shots and fifth-T in both goals and assists. The 6-0, 186-pound defenseman has recorded 8-25-33 and 31 penalty minutes in 58 career AHL games with the Monsters and Stockton Heat since making his pro debut in 2019-20. A native of West Vancouver, British Columbia, Christiansen totaled 50-102-152, 114 penalty minutes, 18 power play goals and a cumulative +84 plus/minus rating in 297 career games with the Everett Silvertips in the Western Hockey League from 2015-20.
Foudy, 21, has posted 0-5-5, six penalty minutes, 43 shots and a cumulative +1 plus/minus rating in 26 games with the Blue Jackets since making his NHL debut in 2019-20. Last season, he led team rookies in assists and points with 0-4-4 with 43 shots in 24 appearances. The Scarborough, Ontario native has added 9-24-33, six penalty minutes, 93 shots and is +12 in 36 career AHL contests with the Monsters. He leads the club in shots and ranks second-T in goals, points and plus/minus rating with 6-11-17, 68 shots and a +5 plus/minus rating in 24 outings in 2021-22. The 6-2, 187-pound center totaled 97-94-191 and 97 penalty minutes in 230 career games with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League from 2016-20. He was selected by Columbus in the first round, 18th overall, at the 2018 NHL Draft.
Johnson, 27, signed a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract extension with the Blue Jackets on July 16, 2021. He had spent the majority of the 2021-22 campaign on the Blue Jackets' taxi squad after signing with the club on Jan. 9, 2021. He ranks fifth in the ECHL in GAA with a 6-3-1 record, 2.11 GAA, .911 SV% and a shutout in 10 appearances with Florida this season. The Troy, Michigan native is 29-14-3 with a 2.24 GAA, .923 SV% and six shutouts in 48 career ECHL contests from 2018-22. He has also gone 11-16-5 with a 3.80 GAA and .873 SV% in 32 career AHL games since making his pro debut at the end of the 2017-18 campaign. The 6-1, 205 netminder finished his four-year college career with a 56-26-12 record, 2.10 GAA, .914 SV% and 12 shutouts in 102 games at the University of North Dakota from 2014-18 and led the team to the 2016 NCAA national championship.
