The Columbus Blue Jackets have made several roster moves, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
The Blue Jackets have activated right wing Patrik Laine off Injured Reserve. The 22-year-old, who was acquired in a trade from the Winnipeg Jets on January 23, is slated to make his team debut tonight against the Dallas Stars. The team has also placed center Kevin Stenlund, 24, on Injured Reserve retroactive to January 26. He has missed the past three games with an upper body injury suffered last Tuesday vs. Florida and is day-to-day.
Columbus has also recalled goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks, 24, to the club's taxi squad and assigned goaltender Cam Johnson, 26, from the taxi squad to the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Stars. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Ohio and the FOX Sports Go app with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the "Blue Jackets Live" pre-game show. It will also be broadcast on the Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station 97.1 The Fan in Columbus.
