The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Cole Sillinger off Injured Reserve, added right wing Emil Bemstrom to the roster on emergency recall from the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate and assigned defenseman Jake Christiansen to Cleveland, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Sillinger, 19, has missed the past three games with an upper body injury suffered at Boston on December 17. The club's second pick of the first round, 12th overall, at the 2021 NHL Draft has recorded 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points with 49 penalty minutes and 189 shots in 109 career NHL games. Born in Columbus, Ohio, the 6-1, 201-pound forward has collected 2-4-6, 12 penalty minutes and 41 shots in 30 outings with the Blue Jackets this season. The NHL's youngest player in 2021-22, he notched 16-15-31 and 37 penalty minutes in 79 games during his rookie campaign.
Bemstrom, 23, has registered 2-2-4 with two penalty minutes, 16 shots and an "even" plus/minus rating in seven games with the Blue Jackets this season and has totaled 21-19-40, 14 PIM and 203 shots in 124 career NHL contests since being selected by Columbus in the fourth round, 117th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft. The 6-0, 193-pound has added 16-17-33, six PIM, nine power play goals and 83 shots in 25 career AHL games with the Monsters. A native of Nykoping, Sweden, Bemstrom ranks third in the AHL in power play goals (tied) and points-per-game, fifth-T in points and eighth-T in goals with 14-17-31, eight PPG and 71 shots in 21 contests with Cleveland in 2022-23.
Christiansen, 23, has collected 1-2-3 with four penalty minutes and 23 shots in 25 career games since making his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets in 2021-22. He has recorded 0-2-2, four penalty minutes and 19 shots in 17 appearances with the club in 2022-23. He made his Columbus season debut at the New York Islanders on November 12 and picked up his first NHL assist vs. Montreal on November 17. A native of West Vancouver, British Columbia, he has added 16-48-64 and 49 PIM in 110 career AHL contests with the Monsters and Stockton Heat since making his pro debut in 2019-20. The 6-0, 193-pound defenseman has collected 0-4-4 with two penalty minutes and 26 shots in 11 games with the Monsters in 2022-23. He signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Columbus on Mar. 4, 2020.
