The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forwards Ryan MacInnis, Kole Sherwood and defenseman Andrew Peeke from the taxi squad and added forwards Josh Dunne, Nathan Gerbe and defenseman Adam Clendening to the taxi squad from the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

MacInnis, 25, made his 2020-21 season debut on March 18 at Carolina and has skated in six games with the club. He made his NHL debut in 2019-20, recording an assist and a +1 plus/minus rating in 10 games with the Blue Jackets. The St. Louis, Missouri native has added 26-61-87 and 133 penalty minutes in 250 career American Hockey League contests, including 1-1-2 in five appearances with the Cleveland Monsters in 2020-21. The 6-4, 201-pound forward was acquired in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes on July 18, 2018. He was originally selected by the Coyotes in the second round, 43rd overall, at the 2014 NHL Draft.
Sherwood, 24, made his Blue Jackets season debut on Saturday vs. Chicago and has added 3-1-4 with 17 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in nine games with Cleveland this season. The New Albany, Ohio native has collected two penalty minutes in five career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and has 29-13-42 and 144 penalty minutes in 110 career AHL games over the past four seasons. He appeared in two games with Columbus during the 2018-19 season, including his NHL debut at Chicago on Feb. 16, 2019, and logged three games with the club during the 2019-20 campaign. The 6-1, 217-pound forward was signed by the Blue Jackets to an entry level contract on July 7, 2015.
Peeke, 22, has registered two assists with four shots and an "even" plus/minus rating in six games with the Blue Jackets this season. He made his NHL debut in 2019-20 and recorded 1-2-3 with four penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 22 games with the club. The Parkland, Florida native has added 5-15-20 and eight penalty minutes in 36 career AHL games with Cleveland, including 0-4-4 and two penalty minutes in seven outings in 2020-21. The 6-3, 197-pound blueliner was drafted by the Blue Jackets in the second round, 34th overall, at the 2016 NHL Draft.
Dunne, 22, was signed by the Blue Jackets to a two-year entry level contract on March 14 and has posted 2-1-3 and six penalty minutes in seven games with the Monsters. A native of O'Fallon, Missouri, he completed a three-year career at Clarkson University, posting 29-26-55 with 70 penalty minutes and a cumulative +24 plus/minus rating in 78 NCAA contests from 2018-21. Serving as the Golden Knights captain during his junior campaign, the 6-4, 210-pound forward collected 2-3-5, 26 penalty minutes and was +1 in 14 outings this season.
Gerbe, 33, recorded an assist and two penalty minutes in his Blue Jackets season debut on January 23 vs. Tampa Bay and added 4-6-10 and 36 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Monsters in 2020-21. He has posted 62-87-149 with 196 penalty minutes in 427 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres since making his NHL debut in 2008-09. The Oxford, Michigan native has tallied 4-7-11 and 24 penalty minutes in 33 career appearances with the Blue Jackets, including 4-6-10 and 22 penalty minutes in 30 games with the club in 2019-20. The 5-4, 176-pound forward has added 67-112-179 and 223 penalty minutes in 209 career AHL contests. Signed by Columbus as a free agent on Jan. 24, 2018, he was originally drafted by Buffalo in the fifth round, 142nd overall, at the 2005 NHL Draft.
Clendening, 28, has notched 4-20-24 and 49 penalty minutes in 90 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Arizona Coyotes, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks. He has added 40-203-243 and 446 penalty minutes in 370 career AHL contests, including 12-70-82, 179 penalty minutes and a +17 plus/minus rating in 99 games over the past two seasons with the Monsters. The 6-0, 194-pound blueliner has posted 1-3-4, six penalty minutes and a +3 plus/minus rating in nine games with the Monsters in 2020-21. The Niagara Falls, Ontario native was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 1, 2018. He was originally selected by Chicago in the second round, 36th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft.
