COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets and
BrewDog USA
, the UK's leading craft brewer that launched its first international brewery in Columbus last year, announced today a multiyear partnership that makes the affiliation with the NHL club the brewer's first sports partnership in the United States.
Starting this fall, BrewDog's Ohio-brewed Punk IPA will headline their offerings that will be available during hockey games and special events at two uniquely branded portable locations within Nationwide Arena. A select group of BrewDog's other locally brewed craft beers will complement their flagship Punk IPA.
The partnership also encompasses a community platform in which BrewDog will present a Blue Jackets digital feature promoting adoptable dogs available through the Capital Area Humane Society. The team will also host a pair of events for fans at DogTap Columbus, BrewDog's tap room and restaurant located in Canal Winchester. During the CBJ Dog Days events, guests can enjoy BrewDog's craft beer and food offerings, win Blue Jackets prizes, and learn about pet adoption by visiting the Capital Area Humane Society's Mobile Adoption & Rescue Vehicle (MARV) which will be on site at DogTap.
