The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed center Boone Jenner on Injured Reserve and recalled center Josh Dunne from the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Jenner, 29, is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured thumb and will miss approximately four weeks. He has posted 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points with 12 penalty minutes, five power play goals and 93 shots, while averaging 20:11 of ice time in 30 contests this season. He leads the club in goals, power play goals and shots and ranks second in points. He became the third player to skate in 600 career games with the franchise on November 4 against the Colorado Avalanche.
The 6-2, 203-pound native of Dorchester, Ontario has totaled 155-151-306, 343 PIM and 1,514 shots in 619 career games with Columbus since making his NHL debut in 2013-14. He was selected by the Blue Jackets in the second round, 37th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft.
Dunne, 24, who was originally signed to a two-year entry level contract by the Blue Jackets on Mar. 14, 2021, made his NHL debut on Apr. 15, 2021 at Dallas and registered four penalty minutes and seven shots in six games with Columbus in 2020-21. He has added 19-13-32 with 84 PIM, eight PPG and 133 shots in 68 career AHL games over the past three seasons with the Monsters. The O'Fallon, Missouri native has set AHL career highs in assists, points (tied) and shots (tied) in 2022-23 with 5-6-11, 31 PIM and 51 shots in 24 appearances with Cleveland.
A 6-4, 211-pound forward, Dunne posted 29-26-55 with 70 PIM and a cumulative +24 plus/minus rating in 78 career NCAA games at Clarkson University from 2018-21. Serving as the Golden Knights' captain during his junior campaign in 2020-21, he collected 2-3-5, 26 PIM and was +1 in 14 outings. He was also a Third Team All-ECAC pick and won the league's Best Defensive Forward Award in 2019-20 when he tallied 13-14-27 with 30 PIM and a +9 plus/minus rating in 32 outings.
