The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed right wing Yegor Chinakhov on Injured Reserve and added goaltender Jet Greaves to the roster on emergency recall from the Cleveland Monsters, the team's American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The club also announced that goaltender Elvis Merzlikins is unavailable for tonight's game at Philadelphia due to illness.

Chinakhov, 21, suffered an ankle injury in last night's game against Dallas and is out indefinitely. He has registered four goals and nine assists for 13 points with 10 penalty minutes and 44 shots in 30 contests with the Blue Jackets and has set a single-season career high in assists in 2022-23. A native of Omsk, Russia, he has collected 11-16-27 with 26 penalty minutes and 142 shots in 92 career games with Columbus since making his NHL debut in 2021-22. The 6-1, 204-pound winger was selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round, 21st overall, at the 2020 NHL Draft.
Greaves, 21, has served as the backup goaltender for the Blue Jackets in two contests this season. He has posted a 17-15-4 record with a 3.20 GAA, .897 SV% and one shutout in 40 career AHL outings with the Monsters since making his pro debut in 2021-22. The 6-0, 184-pound native of Cambridge, Ontario is 5-3-2 with a 4.09 GAA and .877 SV% in 11 appearances with the team in 2022-23. He was signed by Columbus to a three-year, entry level contract on Feb. 20, 2022.
