The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled goaltender Daniil Tarasov from the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate and assigned goaltender Jet Greaves to the Monsters, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Tarasov, 23, has gone 2-3-1 with a 3.17 goals-against average (GAA) and .912 save percentage (SV%) in seven games with the Blue Jackets this season, including stopping 30-of-31 shots in a 5-1 win to record his first career NHL victory on October 23 at the NY Rangers. The 6-5, 196-pound netminder has gone 2-5-1 with a 2.92 GAA and .921 SV% in 11 career games since making his NHL debut in 2021-22.
A native of Novokuznetsk, Russia, Tarasov is 11-7-3 with a 3.30 GAA and .887 SV% in 21 career games with the Monsters since making his North American pro debut at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, including a 2-2-0 record with a 4.29 GAA and .850 SV% in four contests in 2022-23. He was selected by Columbus in the third round, 86th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
Greaves, 21, was recalled on December 10 and served as the club's backup netminder in last night's 6-5 overtime victory over Los Angeles. He has posted a 16-15-4 record with a 3.18 GAA, .897 SV% and one shutout in 39 career AHL outings with the Monsters since making his pro debut in 2021-22. The 6-0, 184-pound native of Cambridge, Ontario is 4-3-2 with a 4.10 GAA and .878 SV% in 10 appearances with the club in 2022-23. He was signed by the Blue Jackets to a three-year, entry level contract on Feb. 20, 2022.
