The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing Emil Bemstrom from the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Bemstrom, 23, has registered 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points with 12 penalty minutes, six power play goals and 187 shots, while averaging 11:45 of ice time in 117 career games with the Blue Jackets since making his NHL debut in 2019-20. He posted 6-5-11 with four penalty minutes and 62 shots in 41 contests in 2021-22.
A native of Nykoping, Sweden, Bemstrom has added 9-7-16, four PIM, four PPG and 47 shots in 14 career AHL games with the Monsters. The 6-0, 193-pound forward is tied for the AHL lead in points and ranks third-T in goals and sixth-T in power play goals in 2022-23 with 7-7-14, three PPG and 35 shots in 10 contests with Cleveland. He was selected by the Blue Jackets in the fourth round, 117th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
