Marchenko (pronounced MAHR-chehn-koh) has registered eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points with eight penalty minutes, four power play goals and 51 shots in 16 contests with Cleveland in his first professional season in North America. He ranks second among AHL rookies in points and power play goals (tied), fourth-T in assists and fifth-T in goals. He has posted points in 14 of his 16 outings, including five multi-point efforts. The 22-year-old winger has also collected points in each of his last five games played (2-5-7).
A native of Barnaul, Russia, Marchenko was selected by the Blue Jackets in the second round, 49th overall, at the 2018 NHL Draft. He totaled 34-30-64, 33 penalty minutes, seven power play goals, 235 shots and a cumulative +31 plus/minus rating in 114 career games with HC Yugra and SKA St. Petersburg in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League from 2017-22. He recorded 12-8-20 in 39 contests and finished fourth on SKA in goals in his final KHL campaign in 2021-22. The 6-3, 197-pound forward represented Russia at the 2019 (bronze medal) and 2020 IIHF World Junior Championships and 2018 IIHF U18 World Championships.
Fix-Wolansky, 23, has registered six shots in four games with the Blue Jackets this season and has collected 1-1-2 and 11 shots in 10 career games with Columbus since making his NHL debut in 2021-22. The Edmonton, Alberta native has totaled 41-49-90 and 99 penalty minutes in 119 career regular season games with the Monsters since making his pro debut in the 2019 Calder Cup Playoffs. He leads the Monsters in goals (tied) and points in 2022-23 with 10-12-22 in 14 contests. The 5-7, 191-pound winger was selected by Columbus in the seventh round, 204th overall, at the 2018 NHL Draft.
