The Columbus Blue Jackets are excited to share an extended video feature telling the story of six-year-old Zavier Sexton, who was recognized prior to the club's home-opener last Friday and participated in the ceremonial puck drop, along with his parents, Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner and Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos.

A devoted hockey fan, Zavier was hit by a car on April 25, 2022, and has been recovering and undergoing intense rehabilitation over the past several months. With the help of Nationwide Children's Hospital, Zavier's parents and the first responders who helped save him, the feature illustrates the journey the family has endured, and the impact hockey has had on his recovery.
Throughout the video, there are special appearances by Blue Jackets forwards Jack Roslovic and Boone Jenner, Goaltender Elvis Merzlikins, Head Coach Brad Larsen and former Blue Jackets player and current Bally Sports Ohio studio analyst Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre.
