In addition, a joint Color Guard representing Delaware County Police and Fire Departments will accompany Blue Jackets singer Leo Welsh for the performance of the national anthem.
The presence of mounted police and a fire truck will welcome fans outside Nationwide Arena, while concourse attractions will include the Columbus Police Therapy Dog Unit, and Franklin County Bomb Squad robot. In addition, fans will be treated to pregame and intermission performances by the Columbus Police & Fire Pipes & Drums, a group comprised of active-duty or retired Columbus police officers or firefighters.
The evening also includes a fundraising component with Columbus Firefighters Foundation being the beneficiary of the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation's 50/50 Raffle, presented by KEMBA Financial Credit Union. 50/50 raffle tickets may be purchased in-arena or online at bluejackets.com/5050raffle. Fans may also visit the Blue Jackets Foundation kiosk on the main concourse to purchase commemorative First Responders Night pucks. Pucks, priced at $40 each, will be available starting at first intermission and proceeds will benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning. Game time is 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on Bally Sports Ohio begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan, and online at BlueJackets.com.
