The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Halifax Mooseheads right wing Jordan Dumais (pronounced Doo-may) to a three-year, entry level contract, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. He was selected by the Blue Jackets in the third round, 96th overall, at the 2022 NHL Draft.

Dumais, 18, has registered 19 goals and 30 assists for 49 points with four penalty minutes, six power play goals, four game-winning goals, 77 shots and a +18 plus/minus rating in 22 games for Halifax in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season. He leads all Canadian Hockey League (QMJHL, OHL, WHL) players in points and ranks second in goals (tied) and assists. He leads the QMJHL in assists, points, PPG (tied) and ranks second-T in goals and game-winning goals. The 5-8, 169-pound winger started the season with a 10-game points streak (12-15-27) and has recorded 14 multi-point outings, including four games with four or more points.
A native of Ile Bizard, Quebec, Dumais has totaled 68-119-187, 30 PIM, 24 PPG, nine GWG, 309 shots and a cumulative +17 plus/minus rating in 130 career games with the Mooseheads since making his QMHL debut in 2020-21. He registered 39-70-109, 15 PPG and 182 shots in 68 contests with the club in 2021-22, finishing tied for the league lead in assists and ranking third in points and eighth-T in PPG. He was named the 2022 CHL's Sportsman of the Year, the QMJHL Most Sportsmanlike Player and to the QMHL Second All-Star Team.
