The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to the 2022-23 National Hockey League season, the team announced today. Columbus will play home and road sets against the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals while also facing off against the Buffalo Sabres (home) and Carolina Hurricanes (road). The Blue Jackets' announcement of the club's 2022 preseason schedule is presented by mike's Hard Freeze.

The Blue Jackets open preseason play on Sunday, September 25 with a pair of split squad games against the Penguins. The two teams will meet at 1 p.m. ET at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, followed by a 7 p.m. ET contest at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The team will then host the Sabres on Wednesday, September 28 before traveling to St. Louis to visit the Blues at Enterprise Center the following night. Columbus also hosts Washington on Saturday, October 1 and St. Louis on Thursday, October 6 before closing out its preseason schedule on October 8 at the Capitals. All home preseason games will start at 7 p.m. ET.
