The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned goaltender Daniil Tarasov to the Cleveland Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Tarasov, 23, has gone 4-11-1 with a 3.91 goals-against average (GAA) and .892 save percentage (SV%) in 17 contests with the Blue Jackets this season. The 6-5, 196-pound netminder has posted a 4-13-1 record with a 3.66 GAA and .900 SV% in 21 career games since making his NHL debut in 2021-22.
A native of Novokuznetsk, Russia, Tarasov is 13-10-3 with a 3.40 GAA and .887 SV% in 26 career AHL games with the Monsters since making his North American pro debut at the end of the 2020-21 campaign. He has gone 4-5-0 with a 4.07 GAA and .871 SV% in nine appearances with the Monsters this season. He was selected by Columbus in the third round, 86th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Friday when they host the New York Islanders. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
