COLUMBUS, OHIO ---The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned left wing Sonny Milano to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Milano, 21, has registered five goals and five assists for 10 points with four penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 24 games with the Blue Jackets and has added 0-1-1 and a +1 plus/minus rating in one contest with the Monsters this season. He has recorded 5-6-11 and four penalty minutes in 31 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets. He has added 32-52-84 in 128 career AHL games with the Monsters and Springfield Falcons since making his pro debut at the end of the 2014-15 campaign. The Massapequa, New York native was the club's first round pick, 16th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft.
