Here's what you need to know to get ready for the Metropolitan Division clash on Tuesday:

SERIES RECORD
2017-18 Season: (0-0-0). The teams play three more times this season: Nov. 17 and Nov. 28 in Columbus and Dec. 16 in Raleigh.

"BY THE NUMBERS"

SEASONS TO DATE
The Blue Jackets are coming off a 5-1 loss at Chicago on Saturday following a 5-0 win vs. the New York Islanders in the season opener Friday at Nationwide Arena. Rookie Sonny Milano leads the way with a goal in each game, the first two scores of his NHL career.
Bobrovsky will start after Joonas Korpisalo played against Chicago.
Some prognosticators see the Hurricanes as Columbus 2.0 - a young club on the rise that will surprise teams as the Jackets did last season. Forward Sebastian Aho and defenseman Noah Hanifin are two of the "kids" the Hurricanes are banking on to make them a Stanley Cup Playoffs contender.
The Hurricanes opened their season with a 5-4 shootout win vs. the visiting Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
FUN FACT
Carolina has never blanked the Jackets. Columbus has two shutouts in the series: Marc Denis made 25 saves in a 3-0 road win on March 2, 2004, and Bobrovsky had 36 saves in a 3-0 home victory on Jan. 10, 2014.

QUOTABLES
"We never really controlled the puck (against Chicago). We never won battles. Quite honestly in the first game we struggled with that also. We've added skill but we're going to need their determination too. Sometimes skilled guys want someone else to get them the puck. They need to do their own work too." - Jackets coach John Tortorella on the line changes.
"This is a team that's fast. Their back end is really quick. This is a really good club, very well coached. They've got some enthusiasm." - Tortorella discussing the Hurricanes.
"Everybody knows I like to be physical and bring that presence. I'm going to play my own game, get pucks deep and create chemistry with my linemates" - Josh Anderson.
