COLUMBUS, OHIO -The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed center Zac Dalpe off waivers from the Minnesota Wild and assigned him to the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The club has also placed left wing Matt Calvert on Injured Reserve (oblique strain).
Dalpe, 27, has posted a goal and two assists for three points with nine penalty minutes and an "even" plus/minus rating in nine games with the Wild this season. He has added 2-0-2 and an "even" plus/minus rating in 12 games with the AHL's Iowa Wild.

The Paris, Ontario native has tallied 12-12-24 with 23 penalty minutes in 128 career NHL games with the Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes since making his NHL debut in 2010-11. He recorded career highs with 4-3-7 in 55 games with the Canucks in 2013-14. The 6-foot-1, 192-pound center has also collected 89-87-176 with 76 penalty minutes and a +10 plus/minus rating in 250 career AHL games with the Iowa Wild, Rochester Americans, Utica Comets, Charlotte Checkers and Albany River Rats. Originally Carolina's second round pick, 45th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft, Dalpe played two seasons at Ohio State (CCHA) from 2008-10, recording 34-36-70 and 44 penalty minutes in 76 contests.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they visit the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. ET.
