Columbus Blue Jackets reintroduce third jersey, announce 2018-19 schedule

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today the return of its signature cannon logo jersey with the club wearing the new adidas adizero Authentic Pro NHL third jerseys for select games during the 2018-19 season. The Jackets will wear the alternate sweaters 12 times at home with the first game set for Thursday, Oct. 18 when the club hosts the Philadelphia Flyers at Nationwide Arena.

- Thursday Oct. 18 vs. Philadelphia Flyers - Thursday Nov. 15 vs. Florida Panthers - Thursday Nov. 29 vs. Minnesota Wild - Tuesday Dec. 4 vs. Calgary Flames - Monday Dec. 17 vs. Vegas Golden Knights - Thursday Dec. 20 vs. New Jersey Devils - Thursday Jan. 10 vs. Nashville Predators - Tuesday Jan. 29 vs. Buffalo Sabres - Saturday Feb. 2 vs. St. Louis Blues - Tuesday Feb. 12 vs. Washington Capitals - Tuesday Feb. 26 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins - Sunday Mar. 3 vs. Winnipeg Jets

Beginning today through Friday, Sept. 21, the men's adidas adizero Authentic Pro jerseys, as well as adult and youth replica third jerseys, are on sale exclusively at FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line locations at Nationwide Arena and The Mall at Tuttle Crossing in suburban Columbus. All items on sale in the team stores are also available for purchase online. Third jerseys will be made more widely available at additional retail locations after this exclusive window.

The Blue Jackets introduced their third jersey logo during the 2010-11 season. The featured mark reinforces the connection between the team name and its Civil War heritage, depicting the hockey club's signature 1857 Napoleon cannon that fires each time the Blue Jackets score at Nationwide Arena. The name "Columbus Blue Jackets" encircles the cannon in a ribbon inspired by Civil War medals, while a single star centered at the bottom of the crest signifies Columbus as Ohio's capital.
