Motte, 22, has recorded three goals and one assist for four points with a -2 plus/minus rating in 19 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has also appeared in eight games with Cleveland, tallying 5-2-7, four penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating.
The St. Clair, Michigan native has notched 7-4-11, 14 penalty minutes and is "even" in 52 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Blackhawks and added 17-11-28 and 26 penalty minutes in 56 career AHL games with Cleveland and Rockford. Acquired by Columbus with Artemi Panarin and a sixth round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft from Chicago in exchange for Brandon Saad, Anton Forsberg and a fifth round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, he was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round, 121st overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.
Schroeder, 27, has registered two penalty minutes in eight games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has also collected 3-5-8 with six penalty minutes in 15 contests with the Monsters.
The Prior Lake, Minnesota native has posted 17-23-40 with 12 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 152 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks. He has added 80-123-203 and 84 penalty minutes in 307 career AHL games with Cleveland, Iowa, Utica, Chicago and Manitoba. Acquired from Minnesota in exchange for center Dante Salituro on June 23, 2017, Schroeder was Vancouver's first round pick, 22nd overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
