COLUMBUS, OHIO ---The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled goaltender Joonas Korpisalo from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, and assigned goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks to Cleveland, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Korpisalo, 23, is 4-4-0 with a 3.10 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in nine contests with the Blue Jackets this season and is 27-20-5 with a 2.75 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and a shutout in 54 career NHL games with Columbus. He has also compiled a 1-2-1 record with a 1.98 goals-against average and .937 save percentage in four contests with Cleveland this season and is 16-18-6 with a 2.51 goals-against average, .911 save percentage and two shutouts in 40 career AHL games with the Monsters. The native of Pori, Finland was selected by Columbus in the third round, 62nd overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft.
