SEATTLE -- Jordan Eberle had two goals and an assist for the Seattle Kraken, who held off the Columbus Blue Jackets for a 4-2 win at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday.

Jared McCann had a goal and an assist, and Oliver Bjorkstrand had two assists for the Kraken (21-18-10), who bounced back after blowing a two-goal lead in a 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday. Joey Daccord made 30 saves.

"We were disappointed to lose the point the other night, but we came back and got the two points tonight that were critical,” Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said. “Anything less, we'd be walking out of this building tonight not feeling very good about ourselves.”

Yegor Chinakhov scored two goals in the third period for the Blue Jackets (15-24-10), who were coming off a 5-4 overtime loss at the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday and are 2-5-2 in their past nine games. Daniil Tarasov made 22 saves.

“We didn’t have much to start the game but found a way to push ourselves,” Columbus coach Pascal Vincent said. “We established a no-quit attitude and just kept going. We got better as the game went on.”

Eberle gave the Kraken a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 12:40 of the first period. Bjorkstrand's wrist shot from above the right circle hit off the stick of Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski but redirected in off Eberle at the right post.

“We broke in well. We had a couple good looks,” Eberle said. “And then, I mean, we'll call it a good bounce, went off I think their guy and then off my stick.”

McCann pushed it to 2-0 at 16:04, taking a pass from Eberle on a 2-on-1 and scoring short side from the left hash marks over Tarasov's right pad. It was his 20th goal of the season.

"[Goals] come and they go, right?" McCann said. "You're going to be hot one minute, and the next, you're not. I'm just trying to be as consistent as possible. ... It's not always about scoring goals."

Eberle scored his second power-play goal of the period to make it 3-0 at 17:58. He picked up the rebound of McCann's shot at the top of the crease and beat a lunging Tarasov with his backhand.

“The second one, once again, we found a way to get it back and created some movement,” Eberle said. “We've had a lot of shots from the sides and then burying it that way, so it's nice to find different ways to put them in."

Chinakhov got Columbus to within 3-1 at 7:12 of the third period. Damon Severson intercepted Vince Dunn's stretch pass in the neutral zone, leading to a rush where he passed to Chinakov for a wrist shot from the top of the left circle.

“This guy can shoot the puck. He can skate, he’s a strong young man," Vincent said. "We saw a glimpse of what he can do, and his growth has been consistent.”

Chinakhov then cut it to 3-2 at 15:58, beating Daccord blocker side from the high slot after he got to the loose puck off a face-off.

"Just great pass from [Severson] on the first goal, and I just hit the net,” Chinakhov said. “And second, just in the middle, just see the opening. Nothing more.”

However, Brandon Tanev scored an empty-net goal from his own blue line with 13 seconds remaining for the 4-2 final.

"We kind of let the game slip away a bit,” McCann said. “We got on our heels and kind of let them take control of the game, and we can't do that.”

Blue Jackets rookie forward Adam Fantilli left the game with a lower-body injury in the second period following a hit on McCann along the boards. He hopped off the ice and down the tunnel while trying to avoid putting any pressure on his left leg.

"Questionable for the next game I believe (at the Blues on Tuesday)," Vincent said. "But I don't have the full report yet."
