ROSTER-MOVE-Carlsson

The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Gabriel Carlsson to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Carlsson, 21, suited up in the Blue Jackets' 2018-19 season opener at Detroit on October 4, recording one shot and two penalty minutes in 9:21 of ice time. He has registered three assists and six penalty minutes in 17 career games with the Jackets since making his NHL debut at the end of the 2016-17 campaign. In 2017-18, he recorded 0-2-2, four penalty minutes and an "even" plus/minus rating in 14 appearances with the team.
Columbus' second first round selection, 29th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft, the Orebro, Sweden native has also collected 3-10-13 and 18 penalty minutes in 54 career AHL contests with the Monsters. He has notched 1-6-7 and two penalty minutes in 18 outings with the team this season.
