The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Brandon Dubinsky off Injured Reserve and assigned left wing Sonny Milano to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Dubinsky, 32, missed the past 10 games with a strained oblique muscle suffered in practice on October 7. He posted points in each of the Jackets' first two games this season with a goal and an assist for two points, while winning 68.8 percent in the faceoff circle and averaging 14:27 of ice time per game. In 2017-18, he collected 6-10-16 and 33 penalty minutes in 62 contests with the club.

The Anchorage, Alaska native has posted 148-278-426 with 869 penalty minutes and a +40 plus/minus rating in 764 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers. He has notched 67-146-213, 412 penalty minutes and a +16 plus/minus rating in 371 career games with the Jackets since being acquired in a trade from the Rangers in 2013. He was New York's fourth round pick, 60th overall, in the 2004 NHL Draft.

Milano, 22, has recorded a goal in eight contests with the Blue Jackets this season. In 2017-18, he finished second among Jackets rookies in goals, assists and points and games played with 14-8-22 in 55 contests. He has totaled in 15-9-24 and 10 penalty minutes in 70 career NHL games.
The native of Massapequa, New York has added 34-54-88 in 136 career games with the Monsters and Springfield Falcons. In 2017-18, he collected 2-3-5 and four penalty minutes in nine contests with Cleveland. Milano was the Blue Jackets' first round pick, 16th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft.
