The Columbus Blue Jackets and KEMBA Financial Credit Union have announced the renewal of a multiyear partnership that is highlighted by presenting sponsorship of the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation's 50/50 Raffle, a program that serves as a fundraising vehicle for 34 local nonprofit organizations and the grant-giving arm of the NHL club. During the 2016-17 Blue Jackets season, more than $140,000 was generated for community partners through this platform.
The Blue Jackets 50/50 Raffle presented by KEMBA Financial Credit Union, which is open to fans during both home and road games, enables selected nonprofit participants to raise funds by selling raffle tickets in person at Blue Jackets home games and sharing proceeds from sales generated via the Foundation's mobile platform on that specific night. Each night, half the pot goes to one winner with the remaining half being split between the local charity and the Blue Jackets Foundation. Fans may support the fundraising by purchasing tickets online at BlueJackets5050.com or via the official Blue Jackets NHL app.
KEMBA's partnership also encompasses presentation of contest-based digital initiatives along with electronic and traditional in-arena messaging.
The Blue Jackets return to action tomorrow when they visit the New Jersey Devils. Game time at Prudential Center is 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Eldorado Scioto Downs Blue Jackets Radio Network, including Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan in Columbus and online at BlueJackets.com.
