Blue Jackets star Seth Jones will be among three NHL All-Stars to take part in the Chel Gaming Challenge at the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend in St. Louis, the league announced Friday.
Jones will join Buffalo's Jack Eichel and Calgary's Matthew Tkachuk in the star-studded affair, which will include celebrities taking on the hockey players in a day of EA SPORTS NHL20.
The Chel Gaming Challenge will take place on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 12-3 p.m. CT at St. Louis' Ballpark Village. Hosted by former NHLer Paul 'BizNasty' Bissonnette and Blues reporter Angella Sharpe, the event will drop the puck on season three of the NHL Gaming World Championship, won a season ago by Columbus native and Ohio State student Matthew "Top Shelf Cookie" Gutkoski.
Jones, Eichel, Tkachuk and Hilary Knight (American All-Star from the Elite Women's 3-on-3 presented by adidas) will headline the event that also will include WWE Superstar Xavier Woods, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Irvin, Gaming Hall of Famer Johnathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendel and the NHL Gaming World Championship's very own Andrew 'Nasher' Telfer.
