Jordan Binnington became the first St. Louis Blues goaltender in over 30 years to record two points in the same game in Thursday’s 5-3 win against the Calgary Flames at Enterprise Center.

Curtis Joseph is the only other goalie in franchise history to record two points in one game - he did it on Oct. 9, 1993 and on Oct. 12, 1991.

“He should play on the forwards,” Pavel Buchnevich said of Binnington after the game. “I might have to (take him on my line).”

Binnington recorded assists on both Zack Bolduc’s first-period goal and Buchnevich’s empty-netter in the third period.

Binnington now has three points on the season, the most by a Blues goalie since Brian Elliott recorded three in the 2014-15 season.

This season, Binnington is 26-19-4 with a 2.83 goals-against average, a .912 save-percentage and three shutouts.
