Blues Head Coach Craig Berube made the announcement Sunday during his media availability before an optional practice at Centene Community Ice Center.
Binnington left Game 3 against Colorado in the first period after Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri collided with him with 13:15 remaining in the first period.
"It's always tough. Binner is a heart and soul (player), playing unbelievable," Blues captain
Ryan O'Reilly
said of the play. "It took the momentum away... Things like that happen, we're a good team and we could have done a better job of getting momentum back."
Berube said there is a chance that Binnington could return in the next round.
Through six playoff appearances this season, Binnington is 4-1 with a 1.72 goals-against average and a .949 save-percentage.
