Borgman, 24, signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Maple Leafs in March and spent last season with the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies, recording four goals and 13 assists (17 points) in 45 regular-season games.
Borgman made his NHL debut during the 2017-18 season, posting three goals and eight assists to go along with a plus-4 rating in 48 games with the Maple Leafs.
