Alexey Toropchenko got promoted to the third line in the second period of Game 5 and that's where he will start on Friday as the St. Louis Blues seek to even the best-of-7 series with the Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 (7 p.m., TNT, 101 ESPN).

"I thought (Toropchenko) had a heck of a game," Blues Head Coach Berube said before Game 6. "He was involved in two of the goals we scored with his play in the offensive zone and his forechecking ability. I'm going to start him with Schenn's line tonight and go from there. There's always mixing and matching during the game, though."
"He's a great person, very likeable, a happy guy 24/7. That rubs off on people," Berube added of Toropchenko. "On the ice, every shift is energy, every shift is skating and hard play and forecheck. It's important. Very important in playoff hockey."
With Toropchenko on the third line, Ivan Barbashev was skating on the fourth line in Friday's morning skate. That's where he was when Bozak scored the overtime winner in Game 5.
The rest of the projected lineup is expected to remain the same for Game 6.
