For the first time in their 55-year history, the St. Louis Blues are bringing their moms on the road.

After the team plays against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday night, 21 of the players' moms will travel from locations across the globe to meet their sons in Denver, arriving in time for Monday's matchup with the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena. Then, after that game, the moms will travel on the team plane to Chicago, where their sons will take on the Blackhawks at United Center on Wednesday before returning home to St. Louis.

While with the team, the Blues' moms will come to the arena for morning skates, sit in on the team meetings, ride on the team bus, enjoy pregame dinners and cheer on their boys from the stands.

"It's so amazing to be able to share this experience with my mom," said Blues captain Ryan O'Reilly, who will be joined by his mother, Bonnie. "She takes the games harder than I do. If we lose or I don't play well, she's more upset than I am. She's just as invested as me. She's super excited and I'm excited to have her. You can't beat that connection."

"Every mom has a story about driving us to practice early mornings, putting a lot of miles on the cars, spending all their time away from work to get us to and from hockey," added Torey Krug, whose mom, Cheryl, will come from Michigan to join the trip. "I'm obviously very grateful and thankful they get to come see what we do on the road. I don't get to spend much time with her anymore, so it's nice when we get to spend a few days together."

Ivan Barbashev's mom will travel the furthest to join the trip. She boarded a plane from Moscow, Russia, then had connections through Doha, Chicago and St. Louis before arriving in Denver - all combined for approximately more than 10,000 miles. Nathan Walker's mom, who traveled from Australia, came the next longest distance and covered approximately 9,420 miles from Sydney to Dallas to Denver.

Other moms traveling from across the globe include Niko Mikkola's mom (Finland) and Calle Rosen's mom (Sweden). A significant number of others will make the trip from Canada.

While road trips might be new to the moms, the dads are certainly familiar with them. In five Dads' Trips, the Blues have posted a record of 7-1-1.

If the moms bring just as much good luck, they'll be arriving at just the right time.

"I think for all of us, when things aren't going well, to have our moms there - the ones that truly love us no matter what we do and support us through the highs and lows of life - to have her watching, it will be awesome," O'Reilly added. "And she's competitive. If anybody does a dirty play on me, I'd watch out, my mom might come down there."

The trip is sure to bring several memorable moments, both on and off the ice. You can follow coverage daily throughout the trip by visiting stlouisblues.com, using the Blues App or by following the team on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
