Blues evaluate their NHL 19 character models

If you're a gamer, you've probably heard by now that EA Sports delivered their latest hockey video game - NHL 19 - to store shelves last week.
Many video game reviewers insist that this year's gameplay is better than ever, but how good do the guys on the ice look?
We took a random poll around the locker room to see what the players think of their own NHL 19 character models.
Here's what they said:

Pat Maroon

"I think it looks good. They're spot on with the beard, that really stands out well. It looks like a Pat Maroon video game character should."

Robby Fabbri

"Oh yeah. The beard is a little more even and full than it is on my face right now. Wow. I wish I could have that beard right now. And they've got the eyebrows down for sure."

Alex Pietrangelo

"I don't think it looks too much like me, but the facial hair isn't too bad. The eyes look good. I look a lot angrier than I think I usually do. Maybe they're trying to tell me to add that element to my game. I don't stare at myself in the mirror too much, so it's hard to get a good gauge."

Jaden Schwartz

"I think it's pretty close, but I look a little chunky in the game. They did a pretty good job, but they could drop a couple of pounds off me."

Brayden Schenn

"It's really good. Real good. Look at the eyebrows - they've got that dialed in. My left eyebrow curves up at the end and that's in the game! Chubby cheeks, too. That's really dialed in. They know what they're doing."

Ryan O'Reilly

"I'm pretty impressed. I think they got the beard color wrong, it needs to be a little lighter. But I think I look pretty tough in that one. It's not too bad. They got the (missing) tooth correct, it's on the right side (of my mouth) and they got the nose right. It's almost perfect."

Robert Bortuzzo

"I'll take that tan any day of the week. The beard is solid. I don't know about the scowl, I'm more light-hearted. They've got the right helmet and the right stick. They've got it all going on."

Joel Edmundson

"It doesn't look a lot like me, but that's not a bad looking guy so I'll take it. My moustache doesn't really connect with my beard that clean in real life and I don't think my teeth are that good. They made me look better, so I'll take it."
