The St. Louis Blues have teamed up with fan-engagement developer, Daysies to launch a first-of-its-kind set of daily games. Daysies, a new offering within the team’s fan engagement platform, Bluenatics, is available to play daily in the Blues app and features six daily games for fans to test their Blues knowledge and compare scores with friends. Through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human moderation from the St. Louis-based Daysies team, the games will draw on Blues history, team facts and even statistics from the previous day’s Blues matchup.

Eager Blues fans have already been able to experience Daysies during several periods of beta testing that took place over the team’s preseason. Through these pilot runs, the team collected key data regarding fan experience with the games garnering 1,500+ unique players, who on average, completed four out of the six games per day.

“We created Daysies to give fans something new every day, and we’re thrilled with the response so far,” said Tom Pernikoff, CEO of Daysies. “Fans will be able to log into the Blues app every single day and be met with six brand new games to play. With so many games there will be something for everyone, and we’re especially excited about the platform’s ability to draw on data from the previous day’s Blues matchup.”

While the Daysies platform utilizes AI to populate each day’s games, it also requires a team to manually moderate the computer’s work. “AI does the heavy lifting required to create unique games each and every day, but without the human element these games wouldn’t be possible,” continued Pernikoff. “AI can’t always parse out the most interesting facts or know which stats fans will care about. We will always have a hockey fan working behind the scenes to perfect each set of games.”

Daysies comes as a continuation of the Blues’ partnership with its St Louis-based parent company, Tunespeak, the team behind Bluenatics, which has more than 150,000 registered users – while adding nearly 1,000 new users per week during the hockey season – that have registered 1.7 million unique activations since the platform launched. The partnership with the Blues dates back to 2019 and stands as the first professional sports endeavor for Tunespeak, the preferred provider for fan loyalty platforms among music artists. Through their work with all partners, Tunespeak is dedicated to creating a homebase for fan activation – in this case for their home team, the Blues.

“Daysies delivers a unique way to utilize AI to create daily content, encourages repeat engagements with our products and opens the door for new revenue opportunities,” said Matt Gardner, St. Louis Blues Vice President, Innovation & Technology. “We’re always looking for opportunities to deliver fun and engaging products to our fans within our Bluenatics ecosystem, and this is hopefully only the start of development around how we can use AI to create compelling experiences for our fans.”

The six Daysies games are: Crossword, Trivia, Word Search, Petal Pluck, Lie Detector and Scramble. Daysies are now available to any user by downloading the Blues App.
