With Dua Lipa set to perform at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, the St. Louis Blues had to shift their team practice to the Sky Rink at New York's Chelsea Piers, which overlooks the Hudson River.
The rink is built on the second level of the pier, which also features a golf club, pool, soccer fields, basketball courts and batting cages.

The piers were redeveloped into a sports and entertainment complex in 1995, but prior to that served as New York's main port for luxury ocean liners for more than 50 years. The Titanic was scheduled to arrive at the Chelsea Piers on April 16, 1912. Instead, only the 675 rescued passengers arrived four days later.
"I've practiced here before, (but it was) years ago. I'm kind of familiar with it," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said. "The rink isn't a normal size, so it's a little quicker there. It's a little short, but we worked for 35 minutes and got what we needed."

If you walk past the team's locker room, you stumbled onto the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which tapes on a sound stage behind the rink. The Chelsea Piers also serve as a shooting location for The Blacklist and was featured in the 2010 film The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
"When we had to practice (last year), it was mainly at game rinks since no events were going on," Blues defenseman Justin Faulk said. "But with things back to normal now, we're back at practice rinks, which is not always convenient. But it actually is (convenient) here - this is probably even closer to our hotel (than Madison Square Garden)."
The Blues will meet the New York Rangers on Wednesday night, then stay in downtown Manhattan through Saturday's game against the New York Islanders. The road trip will wrap up Sunday against the New Jersey Devils.
