ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have recalled forward Chris Thorburn from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.
In addition, the Blues assigned defenseman Niko Mikkola to the Rampage.

Thorburn, 35, is in his second season with the Blues. Last season, the 6-foot-3, 231-pound forward posted seven points (one goal, six assists) and 60 penalty minutes in 50 regular-season games. Overall, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native has collected 134 points (53 goals, 81 assists) and 968 penalty minutes in 800 career NHL regular-season games.
Mikkola, 22, was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 127th overall, of the 2015 NHL Draft. Last season, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound defenseman tallied 11 points (two goals, nine assists) and 54 penalty minutes in 50 regular-season games with Tappara Tampere of SM-liiga.
