St. Louis Blues prospects once again competed in the annual NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City.
This season, the round-robin tournament also features prospects from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Blues prospects finished the 2021 Prospects Tournament with a 1-1-1 record.
Captain Scott Perunovich, who won the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA's top hockey player in 2020, led the Blues with five points in three games (one goal, four assists). Nikita Alexandrov, the Blues' second-round pick in 2019 (No. 62 overall), led the team with two goals.

Sept. 17: Maple Leafs 4, Blues 3 (OT)
Trailing 3-0 in the second period, the Blues prospects battled back with goals from tryouts Deni Goure, Nate Staios and Brayden Guy. After 60 minutes, the game was tied 3-3, but Toronto's Mikhail Abramov would score the game-winner less than a minute into overtime. Blues goaltender Joel Hofer made 26 saves on 30 shots, while Scott Perunovich, Dakota Joshua and Tanner Dickinson each contributed assists.
Sept. 18: Blues 5, Red Wings 2
The Blues prospects took a 3-1 lead in the first period and controlled the rest of the game, earning a 5-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings. Forwards Riley Ginnell, Keean Washkurak, Hugh McGing and Jake Neighbours and defenseman Scott Perunovich all tallied goals for St. Louis. Perunovich, who is serving as captain during the tournament, also added two assists for a three-point night. Goaltender Colten Ellis made 22 saves on 24 shots to get the win.
Sept. 20: Stars 7, Blues 3
Three second-period goals weren't enough as the Blues prospects fell to the Dallas Stars, 7-3, in their final game in Traverse City. Nikita Alexandrov, a second-round pick in 2019, scored twice for St. Louis while 2018 draft pick Mathias Laferriere rounded out the scoring. Will Cranley got the start in goal, stopping 16 of 21 shots, and Joel Hofer made six saves in relief.
