ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will wear bedazzled jerseys during warm-ups before Friday's Hockey Fights Cancer game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The jerseys were bedazzled as a tribute to Ari Dougan, the 11-year-old who joined Vladimir Tarasenko and the team for a road trip last March and instantly captured the hearts of Blues players, coaches and fans. Ari passed away on Nov. 11 after an eight-year battle with cancer. Her family will drop the puck prior to Friday's game as Tarasenko takes the faceoff. The bedazzled jerseys will be autographed and auctioned online at blues.gesture.com beginning Friday. Fans can also text "BLUES" to 52182 to bid. The auction ends Dec. 4, and proceeds will benefit cancer research organizations. A limited amount of tickets for Friday's game are still available at the Scottrade Center Box Office or online at ticketmaster.com .
