ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have placed defenseman Robert Bortuzzo on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Bortuzzo will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Bortuzzo, 29, has dressed in five games for the Blues this season, posting one goal and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 216-pound defenseman is currently in his fifth campaign with the Blues after the club acquired him via trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 2, 2015. Overall, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native has appeared in 281 career NHL regular-season games between Pittsburgh and St. Louis, recording 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) and 306 penalty minutes.
