St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that forward Mike Hoffman will not be eligible for Opening Night against Colorado.
Hoffman's work visa has yet to be approved. He is expected to be eligible for Friday's game against the Avalanche.

Hoffman signed a one-year contract on January 11th after agreeing to a PTO with the Blues on December 27, 2020.
Hoffman, 30, spent the past two seasons in Florida and lead the Panthers in goals (29) in 2019-20. He added 30 assists for 59 points in 69 games. He has scored 20 or more goals in six consecutive seasons and recorded 50 or more points in five straight seasons.
Hoffman has played 493 NHL games, scoring 172 goals and adding 187 assists for 359 points. He was originally drafted by Ottawa in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Draft.
