Ville Husso sought the help of an inexperienced (yes, inexperienced) designer for his new goalie mask, and the results turned out… well, pretty awesome!
The mask - which was designed by teammate Colton Parayko - features cartoon-versions of the Blue Angels, two large Trumpets, Louie, the St. Louis skyline and a mean-looking spin on a St. Louis Cardinal.

On the back, the logo of Husso's native Finland is featured, along with a polar bear (for Parayko's college team, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks) - and a No. 5 in tribute to Bobby Plager.
Parayko said he always thought designing a goalie mask would be fun, so he was excited when Husso gave him the opportunity.

"I just tried to tie in some St. Louis things," Parayko said in a video the team posted to it's official TikTok account.
Parayko's design was brought to life by David Gunnarsson of DaveArt, who creates goalie masks for many NHL goaltenders, including the Blues' Jordan Binnington.
