ST. LOUIS - Blues players and staff welcomed children from Friends of Kids with Cancer to trick or treat a few days early at Scottrade Center on Friday.
Friends of Kids with Cancer is a St. Louis-based organization founded in 1992 that helps children and families in their battle with cancer through emotional, recreational and educational programs.

"A lot of them can't go trick or treating becuase they may be sick or they're stuck in the hospital," said Judy Ciapciak, the Executive Director of Friends of Kids with Cancer. "For them to have this experience, it's just over the top."
"This is a great event that we've started doing here," said Blues forward Alexander Steen. "We made a point as an organization to do things like this, and at the same time, it's very rewarding for us to see the looks on the kids faces and the smiles."
