"I think in today's world, it's very difficult to curb it. As a result of Krug's absence, the Blues have assigned forward Dakota Joshua to the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds and have recalled defenseman Calle Rosen.
Krug was off to one of the best starts of his career this season, posting two goals and six assists (eight points) in his first nine games.
Rosen, 27, has posted five points (one goal, four assists) and four penalty minutes in seven games with the Thunderbirds this season. The 6-foot-1 defenseman has dressed in 20 career NHL regular-season games between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche.
Joshua, 25, played in three games during his recall to the Blues. With Springfield this season, the 6-foot-3, 206-pound forward has appeared in five games, posting one assist and six penalty minutes.
