Drafted No. 16 overall in the 2009 NHL Draft, Leddy began his career with four seasons in Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup in 2013 (alongside Brandon Saad). He then spent seven years with the New York Islanders, in which he scored 243 points (45 goals, 198 assists) in 518 games before spending the 2021-22 season in Detroit and St. Louis.
