Mikkola signs one-year extension

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has signed defenseman Niko Mikkola to a one-year contract worth $1.9 million.

Mikkola, 26, was originally drafted 127th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Last season, the 6-foot-4, 209-pound defenseman played in 54 games for the Blues and recorded 13 points (three goals, 10 assists).
He played in all 12 playoff games in 2021-22, recording one assist.
Mikkola has played in 89 career NHL games, recording 17 points (four goals, 13 assists).
