The injury, suffered in the Blues' 4-1 preseason win in Chicago on Sept. 27, is unrelated to the torn left labrum that kept Perunovich sidelined for the 2020-21 season. He will be re-evaluated in six months.
Perunovich, 24, was drafted by the Blues in the second round (No. 45 overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft. Last season, the 5-foot-10, 174-pound defenseman recorded six assists and eight penalty minutes in 19 regular-season games for the Blues. The Hibbing, Minnesota native also appeared in seven postseason games, collecting four assists.
